We are proud to usher in our latest collaborative effort in the form of a capsule collection thematically based on the 1975 Edward Abbey cult classic novel, The Monkey Wrench Gang. For those unfamiliar, the novel is based on four individuals sojourn to protest and disrupt environmentally endangering activity in the American Southwest. The capsule collection was approached with the sentiment of environmental awareness and defiance in mind, which is evident in the execution. The collection spans the gamut from pocket tees, to button-downs, and even includes a co-branded moleskin notebook for one’s own plotting. Subtle nods to the novel are apparent through the use of the floral camouflage print on shirts and hats, and are made overtly through title screen-printed on t-shirts. Through the capsule, we provide you with the tools (see the actual Monkey Wrench) and gear necessary to take realize your own resistance. The official release takes place at 7pm on December 14th at the X-Large store in Los Angeles. The capsule collection will be available at the Harajuku and Los Angeles X-Large stores, the Akomplice Flagship and webstore (http://www.akomplice-clothing.com/store.html), and a handful of retailers worldwide.
