Mike and I had just flown back into Cali the day before Necessities, a group art show dedicated to good food and fine women hosted by Backside. We had planned to go back to SB when a broke down bus and Eric Flores, part owner of Backside, persuaded us to stay. With complimentary food and drinks, live DJ sets, a floury of talented artists showing their new works, and exclusive merchandise, this was the place to be for a good time. I brought a bottle of 100% Agave Tequila from Mexico to get the party crackin’. Before you knew it, I had every cool guy/girl in the building taking shots. What surprised me was how scared everybody was of tequila. Most people looked like they had seen a ghost just by looking at the bottle. But by the look in my eyes, they all new they didn’t have a chance saying no, plus there were too many cool guys in the building to say no. After we got it in there, Mike, Mona, Ligia and I rolled over to the homie David Flores‘s art studio. David has been hard at work with 92 year old legendary photographer Phil Stern for the upcoming art show at the Phil Stern Gallery. We saw some sneak peaks and they are amazing. David even tied in the Kill Mobil graphic in one of the pieces! If you live in the LA area be sure to make it out this Thursday, December 8 for the David Flores x Phil Stern collaboration series. This show is going to be huge! Check out more pics from the Necessities Exhibition after the jump.
