As our follow up to our well-received collaboration with The J Dilla Foundation and Joey Bada$$, we have linked back up with iconic photographer, Ricky Powell.This is our follow up to last year’s New York Crimes project with Ricky Powell, AKA The Individualist.
The collection features timeless candids fully printed on the entire front of the t-shirt. This marks the first time any brand has produced full shots of Powell’s work across tees. The subjects include a veritable who’s who of the 80’s, and early 90’s pop-culture. Also included within the capsule are two updated New York Crimes beanie colorways as well as a skatedeck set that together create one of Ricky’s iconic images. The collection’s lookbook is set against the backdrop that Powell has called home his entire career, the mean streets of NYC, and also features Reed Space employees Brent Benson and Kim Sabian. The lookbook was fittingly shot by Powell in front of Akomplice retailer Reed Space headquarters on Orchard street in the historic Lower East Side.
