The Skateboard Market (MRKT) in Fort Collins is a veteran in the skateboard world.  These guys have been in the game for over 10 years and they’re still killing it.  Definitely core to the scene in Fort Collins.  Thanks to Eric of MRKT for showing us around the shop and holding it down for the afternoon.  We are looking forward to working more with these guys: keep your eyes peeled for a collaboration with MRKT in the near future!  The Skateboard Market: 644 S. On April 20th, 2010 the Deepwater Horizon Rig owned by British Petroleum exploded in the Gulf of Mexico just as Halliburton and BP were working to finish cementing the well into the ocean floor.  Now the well, completely uncontrolled and unregulated, is spilling 210,000 gallons of oil into the Gulf each day a mile below the ocean’s surface.  This oil is becoming ingrained in the diet of the ocean’s smallest sea creatures, who will in turn be eaten by larger and larger animals, until finally these animals are eaten by you.  Which means that sooner or later you’ll probably be eating some of this oil too.  How does that make you feel?  Here at Akomplice we’ve been struggling to come to grips with the overwhelming nature of this devastation.  Our warmest heart-felt condolences go out to our entire planet and all of the world’s species who are effected by this catastrophe.  Yet condolences offer little consolation, and we urge you all to find a way to take action! Booya! Carlton Cat just received and unpacked the new DVD’s for our project with Demrick (Young De) and Matt Alonzo.  This DVD and the rest of our collaborative product will be dropping this summer in select retailers.  Stay tuned for this release as ‘The 3 Collab’ straight kills it!
