On The Street: Brazil

June 25th, 2012

In the last week a Brazilian friend and I worked out a three piece art series, consisting of two brand new designs and the Akomplice Fuccars design from last Spring. The campaign focuses on making bold statements by using iconic imagery, mostly centered around protecting/ aiding our world’s environment. The three piece set was pasted all around Florianopolis Brazil last night, and will be an ongoing campaign for the months to come. See below a teaser shot and check back soon for more pics.

X-Large Summer 2012 Lookbook

June 21st, 2012

Back in April I got a call from my boy Yusuke at X-Large Japan about their upcoming Summer Lookbook photo shoot down in LA.  He saw the AK Spring Lookbook featuring the X-Large store, and since we’re boys, wanted to continue to build the relationship between our two great brands.  I took the short drive down to LA and found out that Ricky Powell was going to be shooting!  I was pretty pumped to find him rocking the Akomplice NY Crimes snapback (one of his all time favorite hats) and to be in the presence of one of the great photographers of our time.  If you don’t know Ricky Powell, remedy that quick with a trip to his site.  I had a great time chillin with Ricky and speaking Japanese with the X-Large crew and was honored to make an appearance in the X-Large Summer 2012 Lookbook.  Check out their website and Summer 2012 Lookbook after the Jump.

Akomplice Times Issue #3

June 19th, 2012

We’ve just released our third issue of The Akomplice Times. In this issue we open the paper featuring an interview with Wu-Tang’s Raekwon, as well as an article looking into street art, focusing on the Akomplice artwork being pasted around the states and and countries. We’ve also packaged something special inside each paper, but I’ll let you find out for yourself. To get your hands on a free copy you can visit any of our retailers and they’ll pass you one, or find one of our shirts and it’ll be attached. Supplies are limited, enjoy.
