Ice T Reppin’ Akomplice in Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap – Documentary

Rapper Ice T rocks the Akomplice Liberty T in the opening scene of the new documentary film – Something From Nothing: The Art of Rap, which released in theaters June 15th, 2012. Ice T plays the role of Director/Interviewer in this documentary which explores strictly the origins of Rap and Hip Hop and strays away from all the money, girls, beef and swagger, which most rap documentaries seem to focus on. This documentary has a full cast of guest appearances including Bun B, B-Real, Afrika Bambaataa, Common, Chuck D, Mos Def, Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Eminem, Nas, Q-Tip, Redman, Raekwon, Dj Premier, Kayne West, KRS-One , Immortal Technique, and Doug E. Fresh.

Fall Release On The New Webstore

Chali 2na and Cut Chemist

What’s good? This is Danny Godin aka Griff 3, an intern here at Akomplice. This last Friday night, the Akomplice crew went to see Chali 2na from Jurassic 5 and Cut Chemist at Cervantes Masterpeice Ballroom in Denver, Colorado; and to say the least, they killed it. The night started out with us going back stage to a green room where 2na and Cut Chemist were hanging out prior to going on stage where they were just hanging and joking around. Getting to meet legends like that was a surreal experience, and to find out that stars of that status were super down-to-earth, was awesome. We then followed them out to watch them rock the crowd flawlessly, and put on an awesome show. During the show, Ugly Duckling came into the green room, and hooked us up with one of his new Ugly Duckling. If you do not know of Chali 2na and Cut Chemist, I suggest you get familiar.
