In the days leading up to the 2012 presidential elections, we have decided to make a major move to bring something to the masses. In doing this we present you with a bit of food for thought when looking at the political realm of the U.S. ; these days politicians are placed on the scene as sponsored spokesman for a few of the worlds largest orgnizations/ companies, when in reality, they are being elected to represent the entire population of the United States of America. With this being said, politicians must be stripped of their “Campaign Funding” from the big corporations that now have the largest voices in the free world. Let’s level the playing ground for the best candidate, not the most well funded. The issue being, not the individual politicians within the system, but the system it self. “Take $ out of politics” to restore the voice of the nations people. This idea is what has shaped our political quickstrike of the day. “Take money $ out of politics”, reclaim our voice back from the corporate giants. Through this, we bring you a little something you can rock to the polls. “Take $ out of politics”, give the voice back to the people. America is a country that has fought through thick and thin for the rights of the american people. Given the two choices of candidates this election, many citizens are surrendering their right to vote, because a certain sour taste of the American political system. These people have lost, without putting up a fight or even a struggle, that is what the system wants. Akomplice has not, is not, and will not go without putting up a fight. Place your chips on the right choice, take advantage of your priceless right to vote. Every voice will be heard.

Today, we are releasing a few 2012 election quickstrikes. The drop consists of three limited edition pieces, two shirts and one poster, speaking on the volatile nature of our country’s political election process. The Big Bird series, made up of a shirt and poster, features a cartoon depiction of Big Bird standing triumphantly over a KO’d Mitt Romney. Riffing on Romney’s recent claim that, if elected, he would cut funding for the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS is the home of Sesame Street).Our second shirt titled, “Take the Money Out of Politics,” strikes a more serious note, featuring an array of political signs we captured during their trip to the Democratic National Convention(link to our look book) in Charlotte, NC. The shirt highlights a core belief of ours that nothing threatens US democracy like unlimited campaign contributions. Fixing the system means making politicians accountable to all of us, not just the big time donors who bankroll their campaigns. We want politicians to work for the people, not the wealthy companies and the powerful DC lobbyists that sway the election process and candidates. With politics thick in the air, it’s easy to get jaded, which is why we wanted to release the hilarious Big Bird joint to lighten things up but still say what needed to be said. This release captures a political moment in time, while weighing in on the larger issues. The Big Bird shirt comes in three colors and is limited to just 60 pieces, while only 50 pieces of Take the Money shirt were produced. There are 35 hand-numbered copies of the poster, which is screen printed on very heavy card stock paper. The dimensions are 24″ x 18″. Real Collectors Collection!
