After our Fred Segal x Akomplice Paint Project release party on June 16th, Mike, Maeva and I spent a little extra time fixing our good friends at Backside up with a brand new wall build-out (more to come on that later). We hit the open road on Wednesday, and for all of you who have driven the path from LA to CO, you know it’s a long and dusty road home! Well, our French Intern Maeva had seen Las Vegas in countless movies, TV shows, and on our drive down, but had never experienced it, so Mike and I thought we would treat her to a little excitement in Sin City. Since she is still under 21, we decided to show her a buffet Vegas style and chose the Mandalay Bay for our eatery and it didn’t disappoint. I chomped down a classic 3 course meal and wish I could have eaten more, but driving in the car usually doesn’t boost my appetite too much. Before chowing down, however, we thought we would stop in and say hello to our good friends at Suite 160, an awesome boutique in the Mandalay Bay shops. If you are ever in Vegas and want some fresh new gear, be sure to stop by Suite 160 and visit Tiffany!

Whew! After all that excitement it was time to get back on the road. We drove the strip to show Maeva all the glamour and glitz one can find in Vegas, I copped the new Eminem album (I’m hoping the album grows on me) and then hit the open highway again. 9 hours later we were home in beautiful Colorado. After dropping off Maeva, Mike and I were almost hit by a crazy drunk driver and I thought we were going to have to throw down at 2 a.m after 14 hours of driving! Luckily they veered off at a random spot and we made it home safely with no violence necessary. Being back in the mountains and fresh air never felt so good!
