What’s something people don’t know about you?
Let’s see, something that people don’t know about me…probably was… I use to be an alter boy when I was really young. Like that was just a thing that my mom did to keep, like you know, me off the streets and shit. I was never like a street dude, but it was just something that kept me busy. That didn’t last long (laughs).
Tell us the craziest experience you have had on this tour, or any tour?
“My craziest experience I ever had on tour was probably when I did Czech Republic and it was like 25,000 people and Joey ( Joey Bada$$) headlined. That was amazing.
What would you say the mood of your new album “Late Knight Special” is and what inspired it?
The mood of my new album is kind of a mellow feel, kind of like an alone feeling, that was kind of like the emotions I was trying to spread through the tape while I was making it. I was in an alone place, but I was concentrated and I was focused. That was kind of like the mood. What inspired it was the living conditions of what I was doing, just the experiences, what I’ve already done, you know. Even down to the simplest conversations, to the simplest heartbreaks. Things like that
If you could change anything in the world, what would it be?
In terms of all levels, it would be racism.
Tell the people what the Beats Coast Movement represents to you.
What Beast Coast represents to me is like a whole unified young scene of people from New York right now really trying to achieve those accolades to say that we are like what we really rap about, you know what I’m sayin’. We just really want to earn our accolades in the most humblest way. Climb up the chart. Beast Coast represents something of a force that moves all together, but is in different places at one time. Same thing like how Pro Era is.
What is your favorite song off “Late Knight Special” and why?
That’s a hard one…shit.. I’ll probably say “All For Nothing” cause I made everything in one day. I made the beat from scratch, wrote the lyrics, and recorded to it in one day. I felt like I was really talking about my life.
Who would you rather do a track with: Biggie, Michael Jackson, or Bob Marley?
Damn that’s a hard one bruh…I would have to say Biggie tho. I would say MJ just cause that’s life changing. But I would have to say Biggie, just off the strength that I feel like I can make life changing shit myself. Biggie is just an accolade of rap and that’s my main, rap. And I feel like that would build a relationship if I met Biggie. That’s probably why I would go with that. Peace.
